The French Daily Life Through Movies

The project has explored the daily lives of the French in after the World War II and before the 1980s through the lens of the movies. In particular, the research has focused on the economic portion by exploring and comparing what people were wearing in different decades, where lived, and what could and could not afford. Besides, the work touches upon not only on the lives of wealthy Parisians but also other social economic layers of the society by diving deeper into the intricacies of the everyday lives of people in various region of France.
