2021 Responding to Two Pandemics Winner

This study aims to test an intervention designed to improve the quality of close friendships and concurrently show how increases in friendship quality can improve facets of mental health. It comes at a time where friendships may be particularly strained (following COVID-19 isolation), and may hold greater relevance for minority populations who were more negatively affected by the events of 2020. It generally hopes to show the importance of close friendships, as well as demonstrating one program wherein they are improved.
