Effects of Sublethal and Lethal exposure to Neonicotinoids on Honey Bees and their Hives

This project consists of a virtual simulation representing a given number of hives in a field. During the simulation, we can see the effects of pesticide application on the hives and model colony collapse in this situation. We can also use the simulation to see the dynamics of a healthy field and bees, as we can activate the pesticide application at anytime, as well as terminate it at any time. Thus, we can see just how devestating this human action can be for pollinators, regardless of how established their colonies may be. I will also have a set of slides to present, which explain the interface of the simulation and the different outcomes.
